Chronological Age Versus Biological Age

 

Did you ever think you’d be compared to an old truck? Well, it’s about to happen.

As Dr. Eric Verdin, president and CEO of the Buck Institute, points out, there are two versions of a 1940s truck. One is a rusty, dilapidated piece of junk. The other is a shiny, expensive collectible. One was neglected, the other was maintained and repaired.

Aging is similar in humans . It’s no longer important to just look at your chronological age. It’s equally significant to look at your biological age…meaning how well you’ve “maintained” yourself over the years to avoid turning into a piece of junk.
