Mimicking Genes In Long-Lived Mammals Could Help Humans Live Longer
So maybe bats aren’t the cuddliest and cutest of animals, but they are amongst the most awesome. Somehow their genome allows for them to live longer than logic would expect.
Professor Vadim Gladyshev, of Harvard Medical School, studies bats — and other long-lived mammals — to see if they hold the secret to living longer by identifying and mimicking their genomes linked to longevity.
